Since its 2007 premiere, this exuberant production has enjoyed a smash-hit 2010 UK Christmas season at Leicester Curve and delighted families inChinaIllustrated by Axel Scheffler, Donaldson's original book sold over 4 million copies in 38 languages, and the Gruffalo's Child will follow in the footsteps of the Gruffalo with a star-studded BBC animation this Christmas.

One wild and windy night the Gruffalo's child ignores her father's warning and tiptoes out into the snow. After all, the Big Bad Mouse doesn't really exist... does he?

 

Tall Stories Theatre Company returns, bringing Julia Donaldson and Axel Scheffler's award-winning sequel to life in this magical, musical adaptation.  

 

All adults must be accompanied by a responsible child.

·         The Gruffalo won the gold award (in the 0–5 years category) of the 1999 Nestlé Smarties Book Prize. It also won the 2000 Nottingham/Experian Children's Book award and the Blue Peter Best Book To Read Aloud award. The audio version won the Best Children's Audio award in the Spoken Book Awards.

 

·         Author of 151 books, 101 of which were written for schools, Glasgow-based Julia Donaldson's other best-selling titles include The Gruffalo's ChildRoom on the Broom and The Snail and the Whale. She has also written songs for children's TV and regularly performs sing-along shows at international book festivals and theatres.
